Advent or Bust

Over the weekend I taught Grace this song in order to be adequately prepared for THE Advent celebrations. While we were decorating our tree she kept singing and singing and singing...

The first words out of Grace's mouth each morning are, "Where's Gordy?" As you can see Gordon is finally getting a little more accostomed to the showering of affection.

Grace also likes to take photos of Gordy. This is one of her best. Mar, I think you may have competition soon.

At the Halloween cake walk Grace won this entire chocolate cake. Tuesday after Halloween I realized I hadn't heard any noise from Grace for quite a while. When I found her, all the icing from her cake was mysteriously missing.

At night Collin and Gordy generally have some male bonding time. Reading is one of their favorite passtimes.

Grace's Very Own Song

Grace has begun creating her own songs these days. I wish you could hear all of this, but as you can tell Gordon wasn't enjoying the activity. At any rate, the part of the song you can hear is ". . .build a castle, my angel tells to me."

Gordon's Trick

Gordon has a new trick. It's pretty amazing. Up until now his only trick has been to spit up over every square inch of his clothes. Actually, don't expect too much from this video, I just wanted the relatives to see that Gordy is finally growing up a bit. If three months old can be considered "grown up".

Happy Halloween

Little Gordito was a darling pumpkin.
Gracita was a Pink Princess.

And Grace talked me into wearing her bunny ears to the Halloween Party.

It snowed like crazy the day before Halloween. Here's Gordy taking a nap in his snow suit...

While Grace made snow angels in her snow suit. (Luckily it's all but melted now, it's too soon for winter)

Nursery Rhymes

I've been trying to teach Gracer her nursery rhymes. Hopefully you can decipher these.

Little Jack Horner ends with "am I" and everytime Grace says it she ends with "I am" because she thinks it's more gramatically correct. It cracks me up.

Dress Up

Grace enjoys playing Dress-up these days. This is her hat when she dresses up like Baby Dolly.

She's considerate enough to include Gordy in her play. This is his hat for the Muffin Man.

The Dance of the Fairires

This movie is more for the benefit of Sarah, my sis, who knows these little twins, but now you can all see what we do for fun around our house.

September

Since we all know it will be another month before I post anymore pictures, here are several to keep you satisfied until then. . .

Gordon's happy time. This kid screams a lot, so he gets a lot of baths since that is his happiest time.
Sometimes the screaming is brought on by Big Sister, but she's just trying to love the little guy.

And then there are the occasional times when he actually sleeps. Oh, life is peaceful then.

This picture simply depicts our little Gordy with his eyes open. We think he's cute.

Grace is still doing her best to perfect her photo taking skills. This is one of the many photo shoots she's had with Baby Doll. She's getting pretty good.

Good Weekend

Gordon and Mommy. He still makes some strange photo-faces, but we think he's handsome

This is a better photo of his blessing tuxedo. He was smashing.

Our true colors are shining through in this photo as Grace and Baby Brother dressed alike for the Family BBQ.

Gordon and Grace

This is the loving Big Sister and the loved Gordon.
Gordon had a little Jaundice so we put him out on the blanket to get some sun. Grace brought out all her dolls so they could keep him company.

Baaa Baaaa

I know you expected more pictures of Gordon, and trust me there are plenty, but I had to put on the latest of Grace's songs. Just listen carefully and you'll hear sheep baaaing along in the background.

New Baby Robinson

GORDON JOSEPH ROBINSON

Gordon finally came to live with us on Monday, August 10, 2009.
Here's the whole family at the hospital. Gordon was 6 lbs. and 10 oz.
And this is the proud big sister. My sister Sarah had her during the day and I thought her hair was adorable!
We're all doing well! Hopefully I'll find time to send some more pictures soon...we'll see!

Heidi, This is for you

Grace and I put that bike seat together for Collin's Fathers Day gift. I know, a very fitting Father's Day gift. (He says it turned his mountain bike into a mini-van). Anyway, Grace wouldn't get out of it and, if you can believe it, started singing while she waiting for Collin to come home. The book is a mini hymn book she takes with her often. Sometimes she makes up her own songs, other times she just sings what she feels like.

So Heid, Enjoy.

Random Collection

This is the real Prego Pic.

Gracer loves horses. Here she is riding Kid all by herself. She'll only go for 45 seconds before she's "All Done", but she thinks it's pretty neat.

BINGO

Grace loves our regular music time. She's getting really good at remembering most of the words to songs. This one is her favorite.

Summer

Summer is here! Grace has finally overcome her fear of water. Bathing isn't always the funnest for her, but she likes swimming in pools and running through the sprinklers and mostly she likes just hanging out in her swimsuit.

Water Falls

Collin left us alone for a weekend to go boating with his dad. To keep us busy we went hiking around some local waterfalls. There are several caves around the falls and this picture shows Grace in the one crack she dared to explore.
She insisted on taking some of the pictures while we were there.

And then she posed beautifully for others.

Spring Has Sprung

A highlight for Gracer this Spring has been to see all the new born Lambs. This pen had the bum lambs from her Grandpa's sheep herd and she actually got to feed one! I heard about it for weeks afterwards.

This is Grace's "Nona". We made a quick trip out to the ranch with Dinner and a Cake to help Celebrate Nona's Happy Birthday.

Grace can't wait for Daddy to come home so the two of them can work outside. Here they are planting apple seeds (that still haven't sprouted).

Grace's favorite outside chore is watering the garden. She usually wastes no time pulling off her shoes and socks so she can dabble in the river. Now we just have to help her realize that dirt is yucky.

Birthday Girl

Gracer is getting quite silly in her old age. This is a video from her Birthday dinner. She still sings all the time, and dinner with a full mouth is no exception.

The animal she says in "Old McDonald" is a dog. It's a joke that we pretend not to understand, that's why she chuckles.

The Big 2

Gracer turned TWO!!! She's now a Big Girl. Here are some highlights from the celebrations. . .

She woke up to a brand new "car". (I have no idea how to flip it, I'm open to a tutorial from a pro-blogger)

After a morning of playing at the park with friends, riding her new bike, and making cupcakes Gracer was exhausted.

For dinner Grace requested Hot Dogs, Guacamole, and Tato Eggy Salad. You can tell by her expression that she Loved the meal.

For her cake she wanted a Chocolate Worm cake. I had a blast complying to her wishes. Despite her expression here, she loved the worms.

A Brother for Gracer

This is Grace in her "Row, Row, Row her boat". She climbed in and called for me to take her picture. Luckily in August Grace will have someone besides her parents to play with as she is going to be a Big Sister.

The doctor confirmed today that we are having a BOY. The poor tyke will probably have to wear a lot of pink for the first year of his life since that's all I have, but he'll get over it.

Singing a Song is Fun to Do

Grace loves to sing. In fact, she sings about 90 percent of the day. (Yesterday in the car she wouldn't stop singing "Happy Birthday to Heidi" and "Eency Weency Spider".) In these videos I tried to have her sing a few of her other favorites but she gets distracted by wanting to "see Gracie". Good luck understanding the words. . .

That was the ABC's. She can do a slightly better job, but you get the picture.

This was the Snowman Song with me trying to follow Grace with the camera. Hope you like our living room.

Birthday Fun

For me Birthdays are more like Birthweeks. My Birthweek started with Mary and Dand and Fam and a whole lotta relaxing fun. This is the Fried Ice Cream I received at the Mexican restaurant near their home. Delicious. Thanks Mar and Dan.
To get back home we had to take the train. Grace LOVED it. She remembered from our previous, short, trip that they serve hotdogs on the train. So as soon as she woke up the first thing she asked for was a Hot Dog.

Back at home Gracer and Collin made the big birthday cake. . .tres leches. It was Fabuloso.

The letters on the wall are my birthday sign for the year. When we first got married Liz told Collin that a Birthday Sign was an essential ingredient for a good birthday. Every year the "signs" get more creative. And that's the Happy Candle Cake!

Grace's Favorites

Her favorite "kitty cat" shirt. Collin loves this one.

Her moose shirt. It's gets worn at least every other day. Last week she even dug in the dirty laundry basket to find the shirt.

Her horse shirt. Even though you can't see the horse you can see her doing her favorite activity. . .primping.

January Highlights

Chocolate dipping with friends to celebrate the New Year.

Skiing in the front yard on the "hill" Collin created.

Getting to make Grandma's "Happy Candle Cake" and then celebrating with her.

Random Photos for the Day

Cute little blue mouth. In order to maintain sanity while taking family photos the photographer gave Grace a blue sucker. She loved the sticky treat.

My little book worms. I always love it when Genevieve comes over. Somehow every bookshelf and toy chest ends up on the floor.

Funny Faces from Dad and Gracers.
