Sidewalk Chalk

Here is Gordy drawing another one of his Bawk Bawk Barns (for most people we call them Chicken Coops). It's fun to watch him draw them and they actually all look identical.

Grace wanted to show you her Barn too. Then you get to hear Gordy do his "Bawk Bawk" impersonation.

Talent Show

Gordy's talent was reciting what all the animals say and then replying, "Ho, ho ho" when you ask what Santa says. Because Gordy got so much attention from this simple act, he has been saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho" to any random person who calls him cute. You should have seen the ladies at City Market yesterday making a fuss over him.

For those of you who did not attend the family Talent Show this year, this was Grace. But Jack is the one you really need to see.
PS Heidi was operating the camera.

Liz, this is for you...

So Lizzy, it was easier to download all the pics at once to the blog instead of shrink them and email them. So here is the house...
Above is the kitchen, entry, and hallway to the bedrooms....
Next we have the deck filled with toys...
And our terraced backyard perfect for wearing kids out...
Then we have the living room. On the right below the window is the "house" that Samantha made for the kids for Christmas. They pretty much live in it.

Christmas 2010

After all the presents had been opened, Gordy chose the tractor as his very favorite.

Grace got her guitar. She's already composed her first song, "Coyote."

Grace's little injury, but she's still smiling!

Gordy loved Christmas Eve...he finally got to eat the gingerbread house!

Jam Girl

This is proof that she really did help...at least in between songs.

Kiddos Videos

The Gordy video shows how multi-talented he is...walking and playing the recorder at the same time. The Grace video shows how un-multi-talented she is. She had been helping me make jam and as soon as she saw me taking pictures she stopped her work and started singing. I thought it was funny.

Gordy's First Birthday

Here is the Birthday Boy feeling mighty old since he got to sit at the Big Kids table. Gordy definitely felt special on his special day. We love this kid.

Craziness

Life is just going to be crazy. You can either hop on the boat and enjoy the ride or keep waiting for things to slow down. Collin has started working for the Division of Wildlife 90 minutes away from home. Commuting is not really his thing so we're attempting to sell our Darling Downtown Victorian. Too bad nothing is selling right now.

In the meantime, we're enjoying life...and food.

Gordy just likes to eat -- whatever he can.

I like to cook whatever I can. I've been big into garnishing things lately, hence the photo of the Blackberry Lemon Torte.

Grace picked up on the art and garnished the oranges for dinner. I was so proud.

Birthday and Other Fun

Spring has sprung which means we got to clean windows and play on the roof. Gordy is about to sneeze. It's one of his most predictable features.

For the all-day-Princess-Party we had a beauty shop and painted toenails and finger nails. Those are Gracer's cousins who came for the fun.

The favorite meal was again Hot Dogs. This time complimented by Blue-Box Macaroni and Cheese.

Here is the Castle Cake. It looks a lot better farther away like this. The main thing is -- Grace liked it. Let's hope her requests get a little simpler in years to come.

This is just a photo of Happy Gordy.

Family Photo

Our family photo from December. Maybe there will be more pictures to come. We'll see.

Sorry for my bogging absence. But Life sometimes happens.

Advent or Bust

Over the weekend I taught Grace this song in order to be adequately prepared for THE Advent celebrations. While we were decorating our tree she kept singing and singing and singing...

Monday, November 16, 2009

The first words out of Grace's mouth each morning are, "Where's Gordy?" As you can see Gordon is finally getting a little more accostomed to the showering of affection.

Grace also likes to take photos of Gordy. This is one of her best. Mar, I think you may have competition soon.

At the Halloween cake walk Grace won this entire chocolate cake. Tuesday after Halloween I realized I hadn't heard any noise from Grace for quite a while. When I found her, all the icing from her cake was mysteriously missing.

At night Collin and Gordy generally have some male bonding time. Reading is one of their favorite passtimes.

Grace's Very Own Song

Grace has begun creating her own songs these days. I wish you could hear all of this, but as you can tell Gordon wasn't enjoying the activity. At any rate, the part of the song you can hear is ". . .build a castle, my angel tells to me."

Gordon's Trick

Gordon has a new trick. It's pretty amazing. Up until now his only trick has been to spit up over every square inch of his clothes. Actually, don't expect too much from this video, I just wanted the relatives to see that Gordy is finally growing up a bit. If three months old can be considered "grown up".

Happy Halloween

Little Gordito was a darling pumpkin.
Gracita was a Pink Princess.

And Grace talked me into wearing her bunny ears to the Halloween Party.

It snowed like crazy the day before Halloween. Here's Gordy taking a nap in his snow suit...

While Grace made snow angels in her snow suit. (Luckily it's all but melted now, it's too soon for winter)

Nursery Rhymes

I've been trying to teach Gracer her nursery rhymes. Hopefully you can decipher these.

Little Jack Horner ends with "am I" and everytime Grace says it she ends with "I am" because she thinks it's more gramatically correct. It cracks me up.

Dress Up

Grace enjoys playing Dress-up these days. This is her hat when she dresses up like Baby Dolly.

She's considerate enough to include Gordy in her play. This is his hat for the Muffin Man.

The Dance of the Fairires

This movie is more for the benefit of Sarah, my sis, who knows these little twins, but now you can all see what we do for fun around our house.

September

Since we all know it will be another month before I post anymore pictures, here are several to keep you satisfied until then. . .

Gordon's happy time. This kid screams a lot, so he gets a lot of baths since that is his happiest time.
Sometimes the screaming is brought on by Big Sister, but she's just trying to love the little guy.

And then there are the occasional times when he actually sleeps. Oh, life is peaceful then.

This picture simply depicts our little Gordy with his eyes open. We think he's cute.

Grace is still doing her best to perfect her photo taking skills. This is one of the many photo shoots she's had with Baby Doll. She's getting pretty good.

Good Weekend

Gordon and Mommy. He still makes some strange photo-faces, but we think he's handsome

This is a better photo of his blessing tuxedo. He was smashing.

Our true colors are shining through in this photo as Grace and Baby Brother dressed alike for the Family BBQ.
