Water Falls

Collin left us alone for a weekend to go boating with his dad. To keep us busy we went hiking around some local waterfalls. There are several caves around the falls and this picture shows Grace in the one crack she dared to explore.
She insisted on taking some of the pictures while we were there.

And then she posed beautifully for others.

Spring Has Sprung

A highlight for Gracer this Spring has been to see all the new born Lambs. This pen had the bum lambs from her Grandpa's sheep herd and she actually got to feed one! I heard about it for weeks afterwards.

This is Grace's "Nona". We made a quick trip out to the ranch with Dinner and a Cake to help Celebrate Nona's Happy Birthday.

Grace can't wait for Daddy to come home so the two of them can work outside. Here they are planting apple seeds (that still haven't sprouted).

Grace's favorite outside chore is watering the garden. She usually wastes no time pulling off her shoes and socks so she can dabble in the river. Now we just have to help her realize that dirt is yucky.

Birthday Girl

Gracer is getting quite silly in her old age. This is a video from her Birthday dinner. She still sings all the time, and dinner with a full mouth is no exception.

The animal she says in "Old McDonald" is a dog. It's a joke that we pretend not to understand, that's why she chuckles.

The Big 2

Gracer turned TWO!!! She's now a Big Girl. Here are some highlights from the celebrations. . .

She woke up to a brand new "car". (I have no idea how to flip it, I'm open to a tutorial from a pro-blogger)

After a morning of playing at the park with friends, riding her new bike, and making cupcakes Gracer was exhausted.

For dinner Grace requested Hot Dogs, Guacamole, and Tato Eggy Salad. You can tell by her expression that she Loved the meal.

For her cake she wanted a Chocolate Worm cake. I had a blast complying to her wishes. Despite her expression here, she loved the worms.

A Brother for Gracer

This is Grace in her "Row, Row, Row her boat". She climbed in and called for me to take her picture. Luckily in August Grace will have someone besides her parents to play with as she is going to be a Big Sister.

The doctor confirmed today that we are having a BOY. The poor tyke will probably have to wear a lot of pink for the first year of his life since that's all I have, but he'll get over it.

Singing a Song is Fun to Do

Grace loves to sing. In fact, she sings about 90 percent of the day. (Yesterday in the car she wouldn't stop singing "Happy Birthday to Heidi" and "Eency Weency Spider".) In these videos I tried to have her sing a few of her other favorites but she gets distracted by wanting to "see Gracie". Good luck understanding the words. . .

That was the ABC's. She can do a slightly better job, but you get the picture.

This was the Snowman Song with me trying to follow Grace with the camera. Hope you like our living room.

Birthday Fun

For me Birthdays are more like Birthweeks. My Birthweek started with Mary and Dand and Fam and a whole lotta relaxing fun. This is the Fried Ice Cream I received at the Mexican restaurant near their home. Delicious. Thanks Mar and Dan.
To get back home we had to take the train. Grace LOVED it. She remembered from our previous, short, trip that they serve hotdogs on the train. So as soon as she woke up the first thing she asked for was a Hot Dog.

Back at home Gracer and Collin made the big birthday cake. . .tres leches. It was Fabuloso.

The letters on the wall are my birthday sign for the year. When we first got married Liz told Collin that a Birthday Sign was an essential ingredient for a good birthday. Every year the "signs" get more creative. And that's the Happy Candle Cake!
